Wine Tasting Associate

Job Summary
We are seeking a self-driven and motivated wine tasting associate to join our team! The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting excellent customer service in a fast paced environment! If that's you then we at the Georgia Tasting Room would love to have the pleasure of adding you to our team!

We are currently seeking 2 positions for wine tasting associates. This role Is pivotal to ensuring a clean and positive atmosphere of the Georgia Tasting Room. Responsibilities include things such as training on local wine knowledge, entry level wine mixology, Ensuring wine is stocked properly, and ensuring guests have 5 star experience! We are nestled in the heart of Savannah's City Market, a part that is rich in history but also has may things to do! we provide a one of a kind tasting experience, while also providing delicious wine, moonshine smoothies, and even local craft beer that our guests can walk the town with. We also sell bottles of wine, as well as store merchandise! The Tasting room is a big proponent for events such as bachelorette parties, group parties, or even those touring Savannah.

The atmosphere of the Georgia Tasting room is one of liveliness, friendliness, and compassion. We pride ourselves on being a location that you can visit while on vacation or even if you are local! The pay structure is broken down between a competitive salary, commissions, tips, as well as bonuses!

Job type: Part-time

Pay: Tip based pay where associates average $18 an hour

Education: High School diploma or equivalent (preferred)

Experience: Retail/Sales 2 years (preferred)

Work Location: In person

Duties

• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients to promote a positive organizational image.
• Utilize public speaking skills to ensure an exceptional wine tasting experiance
• Support food service operations as needed, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as this will enhance our ability to serve a diverse clientele.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on public speaking capabilities.
• Experience in customer service or food service is preferred but not mandatory.
• Bilingual proficiency is a plus, enhancing interaction with a broader audience.
• A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week
