What are the responsibilities and job description for the GIS Analyst position at The Geospatial Group?
The Geospatial Group is hiring a GIS Analyst for our Ridgeland, MS office to support the technical needs of public safety clients. Work will include, but not be limited to, Address Data Management, GIS integrations with other systems, ArcGIS Enterprise implementations, ArcGIS Online implementations, interfacing with 911 staff and law enforcement, and automation of daily tasks.

This is a full-time position. Pay is based on individual qualifications and experience.
Required Skills / Duties
Attention to detail, especially concerning the quality control of datasets
Maintain GIS and cartographic capabilities to support existing programs
Create, maintain, and QA/QC geospatial data sets using the latest version of ArcGIS Pro
Coordinate with Project Managers on workload and priorities
Coordinate with other GIS staff members
Maintain existing ArcGIS Server application and services
Required Experience
Bachelor's degree with major course work in geography or a related field with an emphasis in GIS. Master's degree a plus. Law enforcement or 911 experience is also a plus.
Demonstrated knowledge of cartography including design principles.
Ability to conflate disparate data sets
Detail-oriented and a demonstrated self-starter, problem-solver, and team player with professional demeanor and attitude
Ability to multitask and take written and verbal direction and take the initiative to perform tasks with moderate supervision
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Reliable attendance and punctuality is expected
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
