The primary purpose of this job is to oversee and document all incoming goods, orchestrate the unloading process, and supervise the distribution of goods to temporary storage or departments.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promptly, at the start of the shift, the team member will review the work schedule, check the equipment and supplies required to perform the work scheduled, comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, and otherwise prepare for duties.
- Maintain a clear, clean, and organized receiving dock area.
- Move pallets with a pallet jack and put pallets into temporary racking with a hi-lift.
- Oversee all return goods loading.
- Oversee, input information, coordinate unloading of trucks of all incoming goods to the receiving area.
- Use a pallet jack to move unloaded pallets to keep the receiving area clear and workable.
- Oversee the breakdown of pallets and the loading of department U-boats.
- Input, check, and authenticate all data in the store computer.
- Check incoming numbers with ordered numbers of items.
- Move pallets of materials to elevated racking with a hi-lift truck.
- Oversee all UPS shipments.
- Oversee use of compactor and make bales in the bailer.
- Use a pallet jack and pallets to roll bales out of bailer and then load them on a truck.
- Assemble displays when necessary.
