We are looking for an experienced, hard-working Bilingual Occupational Therapist (OTR) with a passion for their profession and who are always striving to work towards patient improvement! TGV is currently seeking an Occupational Therapist with a passion for pediatrics to work as part of our multidisciplinary team. The Occupational Therapist will primarily be focused on supervising assistants, performing evaluations/re-evaluations, and develop and implement plan of cares. We offer ST and OT services to children of all ages and diagnostic groups and specialize in following a natural, developmental approach. We have a wonderful, supportive staff and an environment that allows for professional growth. TGV is a rapidly growing pediatric facility providing therapy via private clinic, schools/daycares, and through tele-therapy services. This is a position, which requires someone with the passion, tenacity and integrity needed to give our patients the best care possible to help them find their voice.
- Previous work experience as a pediatric Occupational Therapist
- Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of occupational therapy
- Experience using Clinic Source
- Familiarity with assessment tools and ability to perform quality evaluations
- Ability to work constructively with children with different types of personalities and diagnoses in order to facilitate each child’s highest level of function
- Takes initiative to remain current in clinical practice and demonstrates drive to continually learn and grow in the profession
- Maintains professional demeanor and is responsible for quality care in interactions with patients and family members
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills (English and Spanish preferred)
- Have a valid Occupational Therapy License
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- The OTR evaluates the client, plans therapeutic interventions and completes discharge documents. The OTR also provides clinical supervision of the COTA.
- Team player. Must be able to effectively collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to meet student goals.
- Flexible
- CPR Certified (Infants-Adults)
- Level II Fingerprinting Background
- Must be able to demonstrate and articulate clinical reasoning in treatment planning, implementation and monitoring of patient progress.
- Carry or willing to obtain professional liability insurance of $1M-$3M.
