We are expanding our service area and opening new locations in the Inland Empire and Los Angeles County.
We're looking for skilled Door Service Technicians and Glaziers to join our team and help us continue delivering exceptional service.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Door Service Technician to specialize in commercial door adjustments, troubleshooting, and repairs. This role involves conducting site visits in a company provided vehicle, identifying issues affecting door functionality, providing estimates, measuring for material orders, and performing necessary repairs or replacements. The ideal candidate will be skilled in diagnosing and fixing closers, pivots, hinges, thresholds, and other door hardware.
Experience in commercial storefront glazing is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate with a strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
This position is full-time, Monday through Friday, with opportunities for overtime and a generous bonus for after-hours emergency work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site assessments to troubleshoot door issues and determine necessary repairs
- Take precise measurements and prepare accurate estimates for door repairs and replacements
- Order and manage materials needed for jobs
- Install, adjust, and repair door closers, pivots, hinges, locks, thresholds, and other hardware
- Identify and resolve door alignment and operational issues
- Work efficiently and professionally while maintaining a clean job site
- Communicate clearly with office staff regarding job details, timelines, and costs
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedure
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience in commercial door service and glass is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate
- Strong ability to diagnose door functionality issues and recommend solutions
- Ability to measure accurately and provide precise estimates
- Knowledge of materials and hardware used in door repairs
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple jobs efficiently
- Physical ability to lift and install doors and hardware
- See the full spectrum of color for glass-matching purposes
- Willingness to learn basic glazing in commercial storefronts.
Preferred Skills (Not Required but a Plus):
- Experience with glass storefronts and glazing (or willingness to learn)
- Knowledge of access control systems and automatic door openers
- Knowledge of air curtains
