Shift : 3 : 00 p.m. - 11 : 00 p.m. - 4 on / 2 off rotating schedule
At The Cottages, we provide an environment for those living with memory loss in a unique setting, residents can enjoy their own individual apartments, while still receiving some assistance with bathing, dressing, and other support services. Residents at the cottages enjoy a family style environment complete with a communal kitchen, living area, dining room, sunroom, and a beautiful garden. The Glen is rich in tradition, progressive in theory, acclaimed in satisfaction, and most importantly feels like home.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : Provides assistance to residents with ADL’S and IADL’S and assists in the maintenance of the facility environment. Participates actively in the provision of care services to the resident.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS :
- 1) Receives and gives report to charge nurse & team members at change of shift.
- 2) Encourages or assists with activities of daily living(ADLs) such as bathing, grooming and with instrumental activities of daily living(IADL) such as shopping, housekeeping, laundry, socialization
- 3) Practices effective communication techniques with residents, visitors, and coworkers and promotes a positive image of the facility
- 4) Arranges, schedules, encourages resident activities, both spontaneous and scheduled
- 5) Adheres to infection prevention and control practices
- 6) Assists with admissions, transfers, and discharges of residents
- 7) Prepares apartments for new admissions
- 8) Transports and escorts residents
- 9) Mentors new employees
- 10) Documents care as necessary
- 11) Participates in development, implementation, and evaluation of residents’ service plan
- 12) Keeps environment, equipment, supplies, and resident furniture clean.
