Admissions Assistant - Health Center - Full-time

We are currently considering candidates for a hospitality focused Admissions Assistant. Candidates must have a desire to join a great team dedicated to providing outstanding and superior hospitality.

We currently have the following shifts available: Full-time

The Admissions Assistant at The Glenview at Pelican Bay is responsible for assisting in the Health Center admissions process, various administrative tasks, answering phone calls in a courteous and professional manner, giving direction and other appropriate assistance.

The Admissions Assistant will assist our residents with services including but not limited to:

• Functions as the Health Center public relations person; providing tours of the community.
• Conducts admission interviews with the resident and/or responsible party, obtaining all required financial data, signatures, pertinent social information and medical information, attending physician information, and other pertinent and required documentation prior to admission.
• Sign in all new admissions.
• Attend weekly Therapy discharge planning meetings, when needed.
• Answer phone calls in a courteous and professional manner. Provides assistance and direction as needed.
• Check all vacant rooms to ensure they are ready for the new admission.
• Maintains complete confidentiality regarding admission information and resident records.
• Assists in coordinating admissions/transfers/discharges with other departments.

Skills/Qualifications:

High School graduate preferred. Ability to communicate efficiently in English using proper grammar in a pleasant manner. Typing and experience with other business machines very desirable. Must be able to handle a multiplicity of routine tasks, following specific instructions carefully and general instructions completely.
