Digital Print Operator (2nd Shift M-F 2:30 - 11:00)
Blue Ridge Summit, PA
Rowman & Littlefield is looking for quality candidates to complete jobs produced for the digital book center, using bindery, sheet-fed imaging, and other digital print equipment. Qualified candidates are quality conscious, and self-directed.
Responsibilities
- Run perfect binding equipment and attached peripheral devices.
- Operate and maintain rapid reprint equipment, sheetfed imaging equipment, and trimmers.
- Operate trimmers.
- Case in book blocks.
- Communicate quality concerns to Team Lead or Manager.
- Maintain accurate records of books produced.
- Shrink-wrap and pack.
- Assist in maintaining inventory levels.
- Maintain a clean work environment and participate in housekeeping.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED; minimum of 1-year experience in digital print preferred.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer literacy.
- Knowledge of basic safety precautions and working well in a team environment.
Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week (overtime as needed)
- 2nd shift 2:30pm-11pm (included 10% shift differential)
