Warehouse Worker/Special Projects
Location: Blue Ridge Summit, PA
Globe Pequot/National Book Network (NBN) is seeking full-time Warehouse Workers in the Special Projects Department
Responsibilities
- Building Packs/Sets of books
- Boxing books to a specific for the customer
- Applying customer barcodes and sticker to book
- Assisting in the receiving department with breaking down and receiving new stock
- Use of the RF Scanner
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to lift up to 70lbs
- Start and complete assignments in a timely, unsupervised manner
- Ability to work with an RF Scanner and desktop computer
- Ability to walk/stand on concrete floor 7-8 hours per day
- Ability to read and understand instructions, work independently and problem solving. Perform basic math computations.
- Bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, and stooping
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Must be willing to be cross trained on other duties within the department/warehouse, which may require climbing stairs (working on the mezzanine)
Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places.
- The employee is occasionally exposed to warm and/or humid conditions.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week (overtime as needed) 7:00 am-3:30 pm
