What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at The Goal Line Bar and Grill?
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Take customer orders and provide excellent customer service
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Check identification to ensure customers are of legal drinking age
- Upsell and promote drink specials and menu items
- Handle cash transactions and operate a cash register
- Monitor alcohol consumption and ensure responsible serving practices
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage orders for banquets or events
- Follow all health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a bartender or in the food service industry is preferred
- Strong knowledge of various drink recipes and mixology techniques
- Excellent math skills for cash handling and making change accurately
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and outgoing personality
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in the hospitality industry
- Knowledge of retail math for inventory management is a plus
- Must have basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating drink prices accurately
- Familiarity with catering operations is an asset
