Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Resource Teacher to join our educational team. The Teacher will work with children in various settings, including preschool and special education, ensuring that all students receive the attention they need to succeed.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and promote literacy education.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment conducive to learning and encourage positive behavior management strategies.
- Assess students' progress through standardized testing and other evaluation methods, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educators to support children's development and address any concerns related to behavior or learning challenges.
- Foster an inclusive atmosphere for all students, including those with special education needs, ensuring that each child feels valued and respected.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on best practices in childhood development.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment while supervising children during activities.
Qualifications
- Degree in Education or related field preferred.
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or educational settings is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in lesson planning, curriculum development, and behavior management.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices related to literacy education.
- Familiarity with special education needs is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while demonstrating flexibility in teaching approaches.
