Director Key Responsibilities :
Leadership and Administration :Lead daily operations of the school
Maintain regulatory and brand standardsDevelop and implement school policies and procedures.Staff Management :Recruit, train and supervise staff members
Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing professional developmentManage and ensure the proper training of all staff membersFoster a positive and collaborative work environmentCurriculum and Program Development :Implement a high-quality educational program
Ensure that the educational programs meet the needs of all childrenSupport teachers in creating engaging and effective lesson plansFamily and Community Engagement :Build and maintain positive relationships with parents and families
Address parent concerns and provide regular communication regarding their childs progressPromote the schools within the community and participate in outreach activitiesFinancial Management :Develop and manage the School's budget
Ensure efficient allocation of resourcesOversee enrollment and maintain accurate financial recordsHealth and Safety :Ensure a safe and healthy environment for children, staff, and visitors
Conduct regular safety drills and maintain emergency preparednessOversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the facilityWhat We Offer (varies by location) :

Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a related fieldPrior experience in teaching across all age groups (Infants - Pre-K)Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong understanding of child development and Early Childhood Education best practices, including the CT Early Learning Development StandardsAn inspirational leader and team builderOrganized and able to multitask, strategically resolves challenges, and has a great attitudeDemonstrate highly effective organizational, time management, and multitasking skillsHave a genuine love for children and a strong commitment to educationMeet all State of CT Office of Early Childhood requirementsIn The Goddard School's unique and flexible learning environment, child development is about more than just reaching milestones.
