The Infant Teacher will be responsible for providing a nurturing and safe setting for infants. This position will implement age-appropriate programs and activities, provide guidance to support the physical, social and emotional development of the children, and create a positive learning environment.
Infant Teacher Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide an environment that is safe, positive, nurturing, and respectful of the children
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum
- Observe and assess the development of the children
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences
- Maintain proper records, including documenting observations and milestones
- Ensure all safety regulations are followed
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom
- Model appropriate behaviors for children
- Work with a team of teachers to ensure a cohesive and quality learning environment
- Associate or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Knowledge of child development and curriculum development
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to develop and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum
- Able to work collaboratively with a team
- Previous experience working with infants or toddlers
