Teachers have full support from our onsite owners and directors, including planning or resource time.We promise to maintain ratios and ensure you have the resources to make your classroom a success.Quarterly evaluations and check ins with Administration.Responsibilities of an Assistant Teacher include the following :
Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environmentSupporting each childs social and emotional developmentEstablishing positive and effective family relationsWorking with the lead teacher and in conjunction with the entire facultyAssist teachers with all aspects of classroom management which may include : circle time activities, small group projects, playground supervision, diaper changing, snack time, classroom clean up for all ages 2 months to 6 years.Greet visitors, faculty, and families with a friendly disposition and smileProvide learning opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration, problem-solving, critical, and creative thinkingCreate and provide a supportive and caring classroom environment in which students learn cooperatively, and interact positively with one anotherModel respectful interactions with students of diverse backgrounds while responding to their individualized needsQualifications
High school diploma requiredAt least 1 year of childcare or childcare related experienceAssociate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferredShows empathy and compassion for young childrenIs dependable and adaptable and enjoys working together toward a common goalMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. For Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a cribthe ability to understand and comply with the franchisees employment policies;the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with school personnel, children and parents
