Qualifications

A Cook must meet the following qualifications :

the ability to prepare food

the ability to communicate effectively with school personnel, children, and parents.

Responsibilities

The Cook is responsible for the following :

Managing the food budget.

Ensuring the safe handling and preparation of all foods.

Preparing menus that include healthy lunches and snacks.

Preparing breakfast, lunch, and snack per day for 185 children

Ensuring that the menus are always in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Maintaining appropriate portion sizes.

Ordering food and paper products.
