Job Title : Director of Product Management – Payment Processing

Work Location : 100% Remote; EST or CST preferred

In this role, you will :

  • Drive the processing team towards clear and measurable outcomes
  • Lead strategy definition and prioritization for payment acceptance, and oversee annual and quarterly planning to ensure your strategy has stakeholder consensus and is iteratively delivered
  • Deeply understand the needs of our global customers, their merchants and end-users, internal teams, competitors and the market
  • Partner closely with engineering around design and architecture decisions, capacity planning, prioritization, product and delivery decisions
  • Provide cross functional teams context, empathy and rationale behind customer needs. From “customer wants a feature” to “they want to solve a problem that helps with …”
  • Build a customer feedback loop (qualitative, quantitative, experiments, A / B testing, partner advisory board, etc)
  • Establish and inspect quarterly OKR’s for your team to measure efficacy of growth initiatives
  • Partner closely with product marketing to bring new products to market (GTM)
  • Speak at conferences, company firesides, sales and customer workshops to promote products
  • Manage vendors within your product line from contract negotiation and renewals, through delivery, escalation and relationship management. These partners include card schemes, processors, device manufacturers, and distributors
  • Attract, build, manage and develop a talented, diverse and inclusive team of product managers

Partner closely with the sales and finance team on shared revenue objectives, inventory forecasting and maintaining a product P&L for your product lines

  • Contribute to building and scaling the Product team and discipline across the organization by sharing market insights, providing thought leadership, leading job shadowing and mentoring sessions, and identifying opportunities for additional growth and training for the product team
  • Minimum Requirements

  • Experience leading and scaling geographically distributed teams in a fast paced, high performance business unit
  • 8 years of payments industry work experience, with specific experience working with transaction processing, point of sale devices and / or card schemes
  • 8 years in Product Management with minimum 3 years in a people management role
  • Player / Coach able to think strategically and willing to get into the details when needed
  • An inspirational leader with experience upleveling teams through professional development
  • Deep experience working directly with customers, defining personas, jobs to be done and creating customer feedback loops
  • Proven track record of applying creative thinking and analysis to tackle business needs in ambiguous environments
  • Exceptional execution skills with a bias towards action, rapidly anticipating and adapting to shifting priorities
  • You use data driven insights to quickly understand and identify key performance drivers to promote focus and prioritization
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • B2B or SaaS product experience
  • Experience with embedded payments
  • Experience managing product related P&L
  • Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics or related field
  • Product or Project related certification
