Come join an amazing faculty of early childhood educators with well over 100 years of accumulated experience. The Goddard School in Suwanee is currently seeking an experienced Lead Infant teacher who is energetic, patient, organized, and a nurturing individual whose love of children and learning make them the perfect fit for our school!

As a lead infant teacher, you will enjoy a classroom with a strong foundation of systems to help easily maintain a clean, safe, and healthy classroom. Candidates must have a good understanding of the way an infant / nursery operates on a daily basis and at least 1 year or more of proven direct experience working with 6 weeks to 12 months old in a school setting.

It is our goal to provide a safe and nurturing environment for each child while offering them the opportunity to develop their natural curiosity and creativity as well as a lifelong love of learning. Great benefits are available for full time employees including free childcare.

Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8 : 00 to 5 : 00

Daily responsibilities include but not limited to :

Maintains a positive professional attitude

Ability to provide leadership and guidance within the classroom

Manages daily care routines of the classroom

Consistently model positive child / teacher interactions

Dependable with a demonstrated strong work ethic

Maintains an attractive, clean, and organized classroom that encourages active exploration

Implements curriculum and daily activities for various ages within the classroom

Observes all rules and regulations pertaining to the health, safety, and care of children for the State of Georgia and The Goddard School.

Ability to quickly establish positive relationships with parents and communicate with parents regularly

Performs other duties as assigned

Great verbal and written communication skills

Excellent understanding of the principles of child development

Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms

Positive work attitude

Associates degree / TCC / CDA or a willingness to obtain a minimum of a CDA within first year of employment
