Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary School Teacher to join our team. As an Elementary School Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment for students. You will develop and implement lesson plans, assess student progress, and provide guidance and support to help students reach their full potential.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans based on curriculum guidelines
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and growth
- Use effective classroom management techniques to maintain a productive learning environment
- Assess student progress through various methods, such as tests, projects, and assignments
- Provide individualized support and guidance to students to help them achieve academic success
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to develop and implement school-wide initiatives
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns
- Utilize learning technology effectively to enhance instruction and engage students
- Foster a love of learning by incorporating hands-on activities, group work, and interactive lessons
- Provide mentorship and guidance to student teachers or interns when applicable
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Valid Nevada teaching certification/license in the relevant subject area
- Proven experience working with elementary school students
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in education
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards
- Proficient in proofreading and editing written materials
- Experience in mentoring or providing guidance to others (e.g., student teachers, interns)
- Knowledge of curriculum development and assessment strategies
- Familiarity with learning technology tools/software
- Experience in physical education or extracurricular activities is a plus
