Job Description:
As a Preschool Teacher at The Goddard School, you will be responsible for fostering a positive, safe, and engaging classroom environment. You’ll guide young children in their development through both structured activities and creative, child-directed play. We are looking for someone who is compassionate, professional, and committed to the academic and emotional development of young children.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment
- Communicate with parents and caregivers regarding child progress
- Observe and assess children's development
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care
- Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience
Qualifications:
- 45 DCF Hours required
- CDA (Child Development Associate) Certification highly preferred
- Must be able to pass a Level II Background Check
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education best practices
- Passion for working with young children
- Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive classroom environment
- Previous experience in a childcare or preschool setting is preferred but not required
Compensation:
- Pay scale: $16 - $20 per hour, depending on experience and credentials
