Daily Responsibilities:
- Creating and implementing age-appropriate daily routines that support infant development through sensory experiences, tummy time, and gentle movement activities while maintaining detailed records of each baby's feeding, sleeping, and diapering schedule.
- Fostering early cognitive and social development through responsive caregiving practices, including engaging in one-on-one interactions during daily routines, using infant-directed speech, and providing supervised floor time for physical exploration.
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and nurturing environment that promotes infant wellness, including following strict sanitization protocols for toys and equipment, conducting regular safety checks, and adhering to safe sleep practices according to CT state licensing requirements.
- Building trusted partnerships with families through daily communication about their infant's development, needs, and activities, including documenting milestones, sharing photos, and providing regular updates about feeding, sleeping, and developmental progress.
- Observing and documenting each infant's growth and development using appropriate assessment tools, noting developmental milestones, and adjusting care practices to support individual needs and developmental stages.
- Collaborating with fellow teachers and staff to ensure consistent, high-quality care, participating in required training sessions, and maintaining all necessary certifications including infant CPR, first aid, and safe sleep practices.
Qualifications:
- Preferred, early childhood education
- Past experience in infant caregiving
- Develops relationships and communicates effectively
- Is dependable and adaptable and enjoys working together toward a common goal

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
