Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for learning.
- Utilize various teaching methods, including Montessori techniques, to cater to diverse learning styles.
- Conduct assessments and standardized testing to monitor student progress and adapt instruction as needed.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting respect and cooperation among students.
- Provide individualized tutoring and support to students who may need additional assistance in subjects such as math or physical education.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss student development and address any concerns regarding their child's education.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on best practices in education.
Experience
- A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
- 45 DCF hours are required
- VPK Certification is required
- Previous experience in preschool settings or childcare environments is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with curriculum development and behavior management strategies is an asset.
- Experience as a VPK teacher is required.
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures is a plus, along with an understanding of Montessori principles.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
