Medical Billing and Collections Specialist:
The Personal Enhancement Center is looking for a full time Medical Billing and Collections Specialist to join our expanding cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery practice which includes a Medi spa. Our clinical team is composed of two board certified plastic surgeons, two physician assistants, as well as a robust team of patient care coordinators, surgical planners, nurses, billers, and aestheticians. We are located in Toms River and Wall, New Jersey.
Requirements:
Must have 3 years’ experience
- AAPC certification preferred
- Must be proficient in physician CPT and ICD9 / ICD10 coding and familiar with the insurance billing, pre-authorization and inquiry processes
- Must be able to analyze pre-operative and operative reports and accurately code procedures and diagnosis codes
- Familiarity with Medicare, PPO's, HMO's, Out-of-Network plans
- Must have the ability to adhere to quality and quantity standards of the practice as well as industry mandated guidelines and regulations
- Must have excellent organizational skills
- Must be professional, conscientious, detail-oriented and enjoy working in a faced-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, a must
- Plastic and reconstructive experience preferred, but not required
- Should be experienced in Excel, Google docs, and EMR software
- Must be a team player, organized, and trustworthy and able to complete assignments with minimal supervision
- Electronic Medical Record experience preferred in Modernizing Medicine
- Experience with collections and out of network providers necessary
