Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced coach to join our coaching and community center for a part-time position. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable, motivating, and dedicated to helping individuals achieve their goals through a holistic approach to coaching. The Coach serves as a leader in both individualized and group coaching sessions, and throughout the community center by being positive, supportive and committed to their own pursuits, as well as those of others.
Responsibilities :
- Lead 15-20 weekly individual and group coaching sessions, primarily in strength & conditioning, but also in lifestyle and nutrition.
- Note : A program will be provided by the head coach, and it is expected that you follow as closely as possible, while still ensuring coaching sessions are intentional and aligned with the goals and abilities of members (meet them where they are at!).
- Provide individualized attention and support to members, offering modifications and / or alternatives exercises, as needed to accommodate varying levels and abilities.
- Build rapport and continually connect with the community by attending or coaching a minimum of 3 group coaching sessions each week in order to foster a stronger coaching relationship with members
- Motivate and inspire members in sessions, by fostering a positive and inclusive environment that encourages growth and progress.
- Empower members to advocate for their own success by leading with positive praise and providing opportunities to improve.
- Connect regularly with members of the community and fellow coaches, asking about their goals, obstacles, triumphs, breakdowns and shares of their journey as well.
- Maintain a clean and organized community center throughout the coaching shift, ensuring all equipment and furniture is properly maintained and available for use.
- Continuously seek out new coaching techniques and methods, to meet needs of increasingly diverse membership.
- Support the community center's growth by leading by example in the community, setting goals, working towards them, engaging with the community and attending community events.
- Review coaching program provided by the head coach a minimum of 24-hours prior to your coaching session. Familiarize yourself with coaching exercises, and ask questions to the head coach.
