Job Summary
The Training & Hospitality Manager is an essential part of the store leadership team, ensuring all guests of The Golden Mill receive world class hospitality. The Training & Hospitality Manager is responsible for overseeing and administering The Golden Mill’s training program to all employees at The Golden Mill, setting clear expectations, providing the knowledge and tools for staff to meet them, and holding the team accountable through the training process and beyond. They create an environment and a team culture where people feel a deep sense of belonging and have the opportunity to grow. As a result, they ensure their team delivers outstanding hospitality in line with The Golden Mill’s cores and values.
Core Accountabilities
- Shift management 3-5 shifts per week; including opening, mids, and closes. Providing coaching and management of team members
- Overseeing, administering, and continuing to develop training program, including all tools and resources associated with it
- Ensuring all new hires have access to all systems and resources prior to starting in their role
- Creation and updating of SOP’s as needed
- Owning employee incentives & celebrations
Secondary Responsibilities
- Assisting with restaurant supply ordering
- Attending and taking notes at Manager meetings
- Assisting with beverage program, ensuring keg room cleanliness and organization
General Responsibilities:
- Leadership and engagement of staff integrating The Golden Mill’s culture of respect and authenticity
- Create and foster a respectful and inclusive team environment by welcoming and celebrating differences to ensure a supportive, productive, and fun experience for all team members.
- Lead from and move dynamically on the floor to assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team, and guests.
- Engage directly with team members by helping them understand how their work supports the success of The Golden Mill.
- Implement The Golden Mill’s People vision for the business and cascade it to team members using your independent judgment.
- Demonstrating and teaching world class hospitality to our staff, guests, vendors, suppliers, neighbors, and everyone in our community
- Create a positive culture where performance is recognized and rewarded and people enjoy coming to work
- Coaching of team members through clear expectations, accountability, and progressive discipline when necessary
- Monitor and compare performance and other relevant metrics against goals to assess and close gaps in hospitality.
- Address guest feedback and issues, including guest escalations and urgent requests, helping to “make it right” for guests.
Job Requirements
Schedule/Availability
- The work schedule can vary based on the business needs
- Must have open availability, and be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work 8 hours on your feet
- This is for in person work. Must have reliable transportation to Golden, Colorado
Experience
- 1 year people management experience
- 1 year leadership experience, including experience managing business operations and administration and managing projects or processes
- Food & Beverage experience a plus but not required
