Job Description
We are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our team in a full-time position. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience practicing in California state and federal civil litigation.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough legal research using Lexis-Nexis to support case strategies.
- Draft legal documents and pleadings with precision, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
- Represent clients in mediations, taking and defending depositions, attending court appearances and settlement conferences.
- Assist in preparing cases for trial.
- Oversee own caseload with oversight from supervising attorney.
Requirements:
- Civil Litigation experience in CA state or federal court (at least 5 years).
- Experience in mediations, depositions, motion practice, reviewing/summarizing records, legal research, drafting of memos, pleadings and letters, discovery, case strategy, case settlement.
- JD degree, admission to California Bar in good standing.
Benefits:
- Base Compensation: $160,000/year.
- Annual Billable Requirement: 1850 hours.
