Job Summary:
As the Sales Manager and Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for event sales at our golf club. You will generate leads, respond to inquiries, and develop strategies to enhance our sales initiatives. This is a self-motivated role that requires creativity and a proactive approach to selling a range of event offerings, including weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, retirement celebrations, and corporate outings. A strong understanding of golf and country club experiences will be invaluable in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage sales initiatives for club events.
- Generate and follow up on leads to promote growth and event bookings.
- Develop innovative marketing strategies to attract new clients for events.
- Responsible for managing client relationships.
- Coordinate and sell a variety of event offerings, including weddings, corporate events, and social gatherings.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities using Google Sheets and Excel.
- Collaborate with management to create promotional materials and campaigns.
- Attend networking events and engage with community organizations to expand outreach.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and build lasting relationships with current clients and prospects.
- Provide insights and reports on sales performance and market trends to the management team.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the hospitality, event planning, or golf industry.
- Strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Self-motivated with a passion for driving sales and fostering relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel for record keeping and reporting.
- An understanding of golf and country club etiquette is a significant advantage.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed.
