Role Description
This is a contract remote role with potential for travel for a Research Associate at The Good Climate Governance Project. The Research Associate will be responsible for conducting research, analyzing data, writing reports, and assisting in project management. This role is remote with connections to the London Area, United Kingdom, New York, Miami, and Minneapolis. The work we strive to do is global. Seeking people interested in projects that are located in the Midwest.
We are seeking the following (5) positions:
Research Associate – Local Development & Climate Justice (Political Science Background)
Research Associate – Local Development & Climate Justice (Economist Background)
Research Associate – Local Development & Climate Justice (Sociology or Geography Background, must know GIS ect)
Research Associate – Public Health, Local Development & Climate Justice
Research Associate - AI Governance (Must have AI skills and experience)
Qualifications
- Research and Data Analysis skills
- Knowledge of relevant themes; Health, Energy, Local Development, Aeronautical/Aerospace.
- Report Writing skills
- Project Management experience
- Leadership skills are desired as you will be in charge of managing a small team of researchers.
- Attention to detail and analytical mindset
- Experience with climate governance or environmental policy is a plus but knowledge of environmental sustainability practices is a must.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Environmental Studies, Political Science, Economics, Area Studies, Geography)
- Self-starter with experience in developing projects.
