Skills/Proficiencies for this position:
• Expertise in retail grocery and product merchandising
  • Extensive background in retail management with strong supervisory and communication abilities
  • Exceptional customer service skills – consistently demonstrated in interactions
  • In-depth knowledge of current natural food trends and grocery store merchandise practices
  • Meticulous attention to detail, especially regarding inventory, tracking, and merchandising
  • Spanish language skills are a plus, especially for training and supervision

Responsibilities for this Position:

Sales Leadership:
• Craft and execute innovative sales strategies to boost revenue and exceed financial targets
  • Stay informed about competitor pricing, promotions, and merchandising tactics
  • Collaborate with vendors to acquire product information and promotional materials
Team Development:
• Source, train, and mentor new team members while providing hands-on training
  • Delegate tasks effectively, fostering growth opportunities for all team members
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and offer constructive feedback
Financial Oversight:
• Monitor sales performance and expenses, proposing improvements when necessary
  • Oversee cash handling and deposits
Marketing and Promotions:
• Design and execute marketing plans and promotional events to enhance sales and customer
  • Monitor customer satisfaction re encompassing in-store promotions, social media, and community engagement

Health and Safety:
• Ensure the store's cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health and safety regulations

  • Manage sanitation procedures and provide comprehensive food handling and safety training for employees
Preferred Qualifications:
• Ideally a degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field is preferred
  • Extensive experience in retail grocery management, with a focus on natural foods, is preferred
  • Demonstrated success in team management, achieving financial objectives with exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Living in or near San Francisco is a plus
