Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Food and Pantry Assistant to join our team. As a Food and Pantry Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our food and pantry services. This position requires strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will also drive company vehicles and will need a good driving record and valid drivers license.
Duties:
- Assist with food and pantry service, including taking orders, serving customers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, ensuring tables are properly set up and stocked with necessary supplies
- Collaborate with staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and special requests
- Assist in inventory management, including monitoring stock levels.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Assist with event planning and coordination for special functions or private events
- This is a warehouse , it is hot in the summer and cool in the winter .
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and push 25 lbs.
-Must be able to stand for 8 Hours a day .
- Must be able to bend and lift .
Experience:
- Previous experience in the food industry is preferred but not required
- Strong administrative skills with proficiency in data collection and record keeping
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Leadership qualities with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Experience in program development or volunteer management is a plus
