The primary purposes of your job position are to administrate and direct the financial and accounting operations of the facility in accordance with current acceptable accounting principles and cost reimbursement principles related to long-term care operations and to assist the C.E.O. / Administrator in directing the day-to-day operations of the facility in accordance with all current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern long-term care facilities to assure that the highest degree of quality care is provided to residents at all times.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
CFO JOB FUNCTIONS :
Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the facility’s accounting operations in accordance with all financial, federal, state, and local regulations.Develop and maintain written policies and procedures that govern the financial and accounting operations of the facility.Work with the Human Resources Department to develop and maintain written job descriptions and performance evaluations for accounting personnel.Assist departmental directors in understanding accounting policies and the need for accurate reporting procedures.Interpret facility accounting policies and procedures to employees, residents, family members, visitors, and government agencies as necessary.Prepare and submit reports to governmental agencies, fiscal intermediaries and regulatory agencies as required.Gather, review, and maintain accurate statistics as required.Supervise the personnel involved in accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.Create and review entries to the general ledger to assure accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.Prepare and review monthly financial statements and interpret as necessary for department directors and the Board.Keep informed of economic and regulatory issues and make suggestions as needed to assure continued quality care at an affordable cost.Meet with the finance committee of the board and keep them abreast of the financial position of the facility.Establish and maintain a system of financial record keeping for all areas of accounting.Monitor collection of accounts receivable and oversee follow-up on delinquent accounts.Prepare in coordination with department directors, administration and the Board the budget for the facilityASSOCIATE ADMINISTRATOR JOB FUNCTIONS :
Assist the C.E.O. / Administrator in directing facility operations, programs, and activities.Assist in the development and implementation of all facility policies and procedures.Assist in interpreting facility policies and procedures for employees, residents, family members, visitors, and governmental agencies.Assist in performing inspections and evaluations of the facility to ensure that facility policies and procedures are implemented and followed.Assist staff in maintaining the residents right to quality of life and care.Facilitate interdepartmental rapport and cohesiveness so that each can realize the importance of teamwork.Assist department directors in the development and implementation of performance evaluations and provide consultation for dealing with areas of concern.Assist department directors in the development and use of departmental policies and procedures.In the absence of the C.E.O. / Administrator, represent the facility at or participate in any meetings normally covered by the C.E.O. / Administrator.Meet with and make reports / recommendations to the C.E.O. / Administrator concerning facility operations on a regular basis.Participate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies.Act as a liaison on behalf of the Home with staff, families, residents, or others as applicable.Assist in maintaining good public relations within the community.Represent the facility at board meetings and committee meetings.We are an equal opportunity employer and prohibit discrimination / harassment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
