The Good Samaritan Home of Quincy in Quincy, IL is currently seeking a Resident Care Coordinator (RN) to grow our team of caring people who are passionate about making a difference!
Job Summary:
If you are a Resident Nurse with a passion for a leadership role while continuing to provide compassionate care for your community, then this job is for you. As Resident Care Coordinator you will provide direct nursing care to the residents, and coordinate the development and completion of the resident assessment. You will follow the requirements of the State and policies/goals of Good Samaritan Home of Quincy and you will report to the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure all nursing personnel are following their respective job descriptions
- Perform administrative tasks ie. medical forms, reports, evals, studies, and charting as necessary
- Direct 24-hour nursing care to residents within an assigned unit through direct and indirect supervision of nursing staff on all 3 shifts
- Participate in developing, implementing, and periodically updating resident's written discharge plan
- Periodically review policies, procedures, manuals and make recommendations to the Director of Nursing Services
- Provide leadership to personnel working on your unit
- Harmoniously deal with staff, residents, family, visitors, government personnel, and the public
- Primarily day hours with the addition of weekend and holiday on-call rotation
Qualifications:
- Graduated from an accredited or approved RN training program
- Possess a license to practice as an RN in IL
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
- Posses leadership and supervisory ability
- Must be able to lift up to a minimum of 50 lbs
- Must pass an IL State Police Background Check
- Must pass a post-offer health evaluation and drug screening
