Medical Records LPN Responsibilities
- Review medical records for accuracy/completeness and computerize records
- Keep current medical records thinned according to procedure
- Respond to inquiries from families, residents, visitors and staff
- Triage phone calls and give appropriate directions/information
- Make appointments for residents and prepare paperwork for appointments
- Arrange transportation for resident appointments including coordinating family/volunteer escort as needed
- Prepare charts for physician rounds and print orders to be signed by physician
- Transcribe physician orders on admission, return from hospital and after physician rounds

Qualifications
Medical Records LPN Qualifications
- Must be a professional nurse currently licensed in the State of Minnesota
- Must have a current Basic Life Support (CPR and AED) certification
- Must demonstrate an ability to perform necessary responsibilities of the position
- Must have clerical skills such as typing and computer skills
- Must have the ability to work in a variety of work areas
- Familiarity with medical terminology preferred
- Must have excellent customer service skills
