We are seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to join our team at a world-class, luxury hotel located in Midtown Manhattan. This role is an opportunity to be part of a renowned property that redefines sophistication and elegance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage a team of 40 employees in the restaurant and bar areas.
- Conduct employee training, development, and performance evaluations.
- Plan, assign, and direct work while maintaining compliance with company policies and relevant laws.
- Handle recruitment, onboarding, and staff scheduling to ensure seamless operations.
- Promote staff morale and ensure the organization of employee documentation.
- Monitor and manage department costs, including food, beverage, and labor, within budgetary guidelines.
- Process payroll accurately and efficiently.
- Address guest complaints, resolve issues promptly, and uphold the highest standards of service.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of Food & Beverage management experience in a luxury hotel setting.
- Proven technical expertise in Food & Beverage operations or equivalent education and experience.
- Experience managing employees in a unionized environment (Local 6 preferred).
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong service ethic.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with staff and guests.
- A collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to execute plans effectively in a dynamic environment.
