The Goodman Group is seeking a skilled Roving Maintenance Technician to join our team. This critical role involves ensuring the maintenance operations within our residential communities meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing maintenance coverage and on-call duties in the absence of maintenance personnel at assigned residential communities
- Supporting and training maintenance staff
- Operating within established guidelines for maintenance budgets
- Planning, scheduling, and conducting required or preventative maintenance
- Inspecting and auditing property maintenance shops
Essential Job Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
- Standing in as the Maintenance Technician upon vacancies and high project workloads, assigned by the supervisor
- Communicating with supervisors, property managers, and community managers on present and future work status on each property
- Maintaining a strong safety culture through employee engagement across full control
- Providing mentoring, coaching, and development of maintenance staff
- Updating supervisors on physical property status, including needs, functions, issues, and maintenance equipment
- SUPPORTING site-level maintenance programs and processes to increase resident satisfaction
- Monitoring, auditing, and conducting established preventative maintenance programs tailored to each property, focusing on general building maintenance, fire prevention, and energy efficiency
- Maintaining up-to-date certifications
- Supervising and training new maintenance personnel in all aspects of maintenance
- Evaluating bids from vendors on major expenditures and reviewing with supervisors or property managers
- Acting as hands-on working replacement on properties with maintenance openings or assistance needed
- Staying updated on city, county, state, and federal regulations affecting physical plant operations
