Position is: Full Time (40 hours/week) M-F (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM) Alternative, flexible schedule available per department needs and supervisor approval.

A Mass Tort Legal Assistant I at The Gori Law Firm will perform clerical duties including, but not limited to: answering client phone calls, organizing legal documents, electronically saving information, and managing department mail.
Position Requirements
- Clerical or legal experience
- Competent knowledge and demonstrated skill set in:
- MS Office Word, Excel, and Adobe
- Typing, saving and calendaring events
- Filing, organizing, and processing data
- Reading and processing information from text and online sources
- Proofing documents for spelling, punctuation and grammar
- Ability to type quickly and accurately
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers
- Self-motivated and well-organized
- Customer Service skills preferred
- Punctual and predictable attendance
- Job duties must be regularly performed in the office at a desk
- Gather data from various sources and input data into several databases.
- Save documents from various sources and extract information from these materials.
- Organize work tasks in a sequential and detail-oriented fashion to prevent missed deadlines, and catch spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with coworkers and other team members.
- Communicate with clients via phone to gather and confirm case related information.
- Answer client questions regarding court updates.
- Other special projects as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to pass pre-employment background check.
