Summary Description:

The BI Reporting Analyst will be responsible for technical development, implementation and support of the reporting solutions. The BI Analyst loves diving deep into data to provide insights that will help drive business goals. The right individual will be a creative thinker who will find new ways to optimize and elevate the information capabilities of the department. The BI Analyst will not only excel in the full solution development life cycle but also bring top-notch analytical and data visualization skills, working with business partners to revolutionize how we deliver and use information.

The data science and analytics (DSA) department small but growing. We support all parts of the business, from sales and marketing to operations and manufacturing. The BI Analyst has a career path that will build on knowledge of the data and technical skills. Overtime, the right individual should expect to advance analytic and data science skills. As such candidates should expect to develop coding (Python) skills and machine learning expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the design and creation of data structures to produce reports to make data actionable and facilitate decision making.
• Interacts with customers (internal business stakeholders) to understand business and data requirements, and iteratively designs report prototypes with customer feedback.
• Works with team to identify best means to display data e.g., dashboard, chart, report, tabular, filters, selection options and subsequently build.
• Applies design and data analysis techniques to organize the presentation of data in impactful ways, to make it easier to understand, and to make it actionable by customers.
• Based on business requirements of the project, coordinates with internal teams to ensure that all inputs and dependencies are met.
• Utilize traditional and agile methodologies in the report development process.
• Manage and/or coordinate 3rd party resources in the development of reporting and data warehouse solutions.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferably in math or computer science based field
• 2 years of SQL experience
• 2 years using PowerBI or similar tool
• 2 years analyzing large datasets
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills
• Desire for continual and independent learning
• Desire to collaborate with stakeholders across the business
