What will your day look like?
- Responsible for creating and improving robotic systems that enhance productivity and efficiency across different applications.
- Work with cross-functional teams to design, program, test, and deploy robots and automation systems.
- Troubleshoot and/or modify complex electrical controls, including automated control systems.
- Read, understand, and design electrical schematics, and mechanical prints.
- Implement and install automated control systems.
- Write and debug code for robotic control systems.
- Support the needs of manufacturing in programming, troubleshooting, machine design improvements and automation/process training.
- Provide engineering solutions for manufacturing/equipment problems. Address and resolve issues as they arise.
- Design and specify electrical equipment and controls for new projects and upgrades.
- Perform thorough testing and validation of automated systems to ensure they meet performance standards and requirements
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in robotics, process and automation.
- Spend approximately 50% of time on the plant floor.
- Other duties assigned by management.
What will you bring to the table?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, Control Technology, Electromechanical Engineering, or similar fields is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Safety oriented, strong work ethic and self-motivated.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to use various hand tools and shop equipment.
- Must be able to work independently, demonstrate effective initiative and good judgement.
- Goal oriented, confident, outgoing and able to work well under pressure.
- Fully understands complex electrical schematics, blueprints, electrical code and manuals.
- Ethernet and/or Ethernet/IP network knowledge.
- Strong knowledge of PLC, HMI, robotics, process, pneumatics, motor controls, AC/DC motors, VFD’s, and servos.
- Must possess a good understanding of vision systems
- Experience in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, PLC programming for Allen Bradley and Omron, HMI programming for Allen Bradley and Proface, Robotic and Robotic Controls, and Vision system knowledge required.
