Summary Description:

The primary function of this position will be to lead and manage all logistics employees and coordinate with other team leads on a daily basis to coordinate operations. This position must be a working lead with a goal of improving efficiencies in the Logistics department.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate and manage release of orders from WMS to R.F. equipment for both case and pallet picking
• Fully allocate waves to maximize picker efficiency
• Manage the priority of pick level processing of orders and maintain priority of emergency orders
• Ensure communication between pickers and replenishment associates
• Ensure communication with all operational stakeholders with regards to waves
• Understand, teach, and train on new technology
• Collaborate with your Logistics supervisor and the Operations Manager to understand the team objectives and shipping timelines.
• Train and develop the Assistant Wave Planner
• Problem solve and escalate if there are issues with waves. To include but not limited to inventory issues, slotting problems, and pursuing completion of last tasks
• Ensure proactive intervention of workflow imbalances
• Accountability of agreed KPI`s for the team.
  
  

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in WMS systems required, proficiency in system is desired
• Processing incoming orders and liaising with warehouses and associates to pick, pack and stage for shipment.
• Accurate preparation and processing of orders for customers both externally and internally
• Assign and monitor the work including staging, wave times and pick assignments for various teams
• Ensure communication between pickers and replenishment associates for stock replenishment needs and troubleshoot, as needed
• Oversee the process of batching all incoming orders together by service level and order type
  
  

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stoop, reach, stand, walk, lift, pull, push, grasp, talk, hear, see and use repetitive motions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently lift and or move up to 60 pounds of material, boxes, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as reading handwritten and or typed material and must have the ability to focus.
