What will your day look like?
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures.
- Building and cultivating team member morale, motivation, and engagement. Align own and team’s efforts with the Gorilla Way strategies and direction.
- Mentoring, training, and developing teammates for career progression and learning.
- Develop warehouse picking operations by analyzing process workflow, manning and space requirements.
- Developing, maintaining, and reporting on performance metrics through the daily monitoring of labor.
- Meeting the fulfillment financial objectives by forecasting requirements and initiating corrective actions.
- Identify trends or operational deviations that affect the fulfillment operations plan
- Research trends and root causes and identify solutions that best address them, accurately analyze the most critical facts to understand problems.
- Assisting with the implementation of new equipment and processes.
- Project Management in conjunction with other departments.
- Delegating tasks properly while still achieving a “hands on” approach. Help others in team to prioritize tasks and ensure achievement of critical individual and group goals
- WMS Super User.
- Other duties assigned by management.
What will you bring to the table?
- Requires a minimum of 10 years' experience in a warehousing environment.
- BS in a relevant field, such as Operations Management or Logistics is preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Seven years of experience managing direct reports (supervisors) in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in managing order fulfillment to large retailers both domestically and internationally via parcel, ocean, LTL and FTL.
- Ability to manage and lead through periods of significant company growth.
- Should be goal oriented, confident, outgoing, and able to work well under pressure while succeeding within a collaborative environment.
- The ability to influence and lead a multi-shift operation.
- Strong WMS experience required (Oracle WMS implementation experience preferred).
- Continuous Improvement/Lean background.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across departments.
- Requires strong organizational skills, methodical problem-solving skills and demonstrates a high level of attention to detail.
