Hudson Presbyterian Church in Hudson, Ohio, is seeking a Director ofYouth Ministry to create and develop the Church’s Youth Ministry. Hudson,a beautiful N.E. Ohio suburban community with excellent school systems,multiple nearby universities and easy access to a major city (Cleveland).This is an opportunity to create a dynamic and growth orientedprogramming for our Church’s youth.Candidates who sense a call into long-term vocational ministry within thechurch are encouraged to apply for this position. For those candidates, wewould seek to nurture that call, and provide opportunities to prepare forordained ministry, including occasional preaching, teaching, and serving inareas of giftedness and interest.Job Description PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and grow a comprehensive youth ministry program that aligns with thevision and values of Hudson Presbyterian Church (“HPC”).Plan and organize regular youth group meetings, outreach activities, and serviceopportunities for youth.Commit meaningful weekly time to offsite contact with students in order tofacilitate the development of personal relationships and attract new youth toHPC’s youth ministry.Commit to local Community school events and other social venues to furtherbenefit the development and growth of HPC’S youth programming.Integrate youth activities and spiritual development into the overall life of thechurch and local community.Develop supportive relationships not only with the Church’s youth but also withtheir parents and other members of the Church.Provide leadership with Church volunteers engaging with the youth and theirprograms.Develop and manage the youth ministry budget in coordination with churchleadership.Perform other duties as directed by the senior pastorQUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s Degree in Theology, Biblical Studies or Youth Ministry.Personal commitment to Reformed Theology and the affirmation of theEvangelical Presbyterian Church (“EPC”) Essentials of Faith.A Passion for Youth Ministry and Outreach.Vibrant and approachable demeanor, capable of drawing in and inspiringyoung individuals to join our youth programYouth Ministry experience of 2 to 4 years, with greater experiencedesirable.Solid Interpersonal Communications skills with both adults and youth.Planning and organizational skills for both self and with others.Technology skills with digital and current media and the ability toeffectively communicate and educate using current technology.How To Apply Please send your resume to churchoffice@hudsonpc.org#J-18808-Ljbffr
