Responsibilities

The Hotel operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting times, and hours worked in a week.
- Visually inspect VIP rooms, guest rooms and corridors for cleanliness and appearance.
- Provide organization, guidance, communication, counseling, as well as exercise good judgment. Ensure all jobs are completed within the shift.
- Ensure that linen/supply closets are kept clean, neat, and stocked according to departmental guidelines. Upon inspection of VIP rooms, make certain all VIP supplies are in place.
- Report all maintenance deficiencies in guest rooms and corridors.
- Expedite special guest requests, such as extra towels, blankets or pillows.
- Check all vacant/ready/stay over rooms daily.
- Turn in all lost and found items and all guest room keys.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Follow safety and security procedures and rules.
- Know department fire prevention and emergency procedures.
- Utilize protective equipment.
- Report unsafe conditions to management.
- Report accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss to management.
- Provide a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules.
- Ensure all team members maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance. (Specific standards outlined in team member handbook).
- Perform any related duties as requested by management.
- Assist other Housekeeping Personnel when needed.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to read and write basic English to complete forms such as a room status report.
- Good understanding of cleaning techniques and products
- At least 2-3 years of experience as a professional housekeeper preferred
- Possesses a strong work ethic with exemplary organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Ability to provide information and answer hotel guest and colleague questions.
- Time management skills.
- Perform cleaning duties and arrange guest rooms to our hotel’s standard before guests arrive
- Manage the cleanliness of common spaces such as the hallways, public restrooms, and hotel lobby
- Make beds, strip sheets, stock rooms with toiletries, do laundry, vacuum, mop, and perform other cleaning duties as needed
- Track rooms cleaned and document lost and found items, damage, and repairs needed
- Must have reliable transportation
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift, reach, bend, stoop, stand and walk continuously, climb stairs, and push or pull heavy equipment
- Lifting fifty (50) pounds maximum.
- Stand and walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods.
- Frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing and smiling.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.50 - $18.00 per hour
