Solo workers’ comp attorney hiring Legal Assistant/Office Manager. A successful candidate will be detail-oriented, have excellent communication skills, be able to multitask, be able to follow up on tasks without additional prompting/a self-starter, be able to meet deadlines, be able to prioritize effectively, be organized, and be empathetic to clients’ situations.
Duties include: Answering phone, transferring calls, and taking messages. Interviewing potential clients and completing intakes for consultations. Monitoring, receiving and processing benefit payments to clients. Communicating with clients and assisting them with paperwork. Communicating with the Department of Labor and Industries, claim managers, attorney’s, etc. Copying and scanning documents. Drafting and sending letters and notices via mail, fax & email. Setting up and maintaining client files. Organizing medical records. Scheduling conferences, depositions, and calendaring. Misc. office management tasks. Ordering office supplies.
No experience necessary, but preferred. Fluent Spanish a plus. Familiarity with Mac OS X a plus. We offer a professional and friendly work environment. Salary $22-$30 DOE. Paid holidays, sick, and vacation time. Annual merit bonus. IRA contributions after 3 years of employment.
