What are the responsibilities and job description for the In Room Dining Server position at The Grand America Hotel?
Bring a luxurious dining experience into our guests' rooms. FT AM positions available. Full benefits for full time employees including medical, dental, vision and life insurance after 60 days, as well as floating holidays and sick pay. Vacation (40 hours) available after 90 days of employment for full time employees. Candidates must be able to communicate clearly in English (read, speak, and write).
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Must have excellent comprehension in order to take and communicate orders from guests and respond to special requests. Set tables, trays according to type of food ordered and the hotels service standards.
- Performs opening and closing procedures established for the department.
- Accurately records, pre-checks and picks-up all food and beverage orders. Serves guests their food and beverage in prompt, courteous manner as per the standard sequence of service.
- Present physical and accurate check to guest and complete the payment process.
- To have a full knowledge of the food & beverage items & their specifications, menu prices, recipes and style of service etc.
- Physical ability: Due to the demands of the job, servers should have the physical ability to stand for long periods of time and lift trays of food, racks of cups and other objects that might be a part of daily duties. This position also involves pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, lifting, and reaching.
- Perform any other assigned reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned or as requested by Supervisors.
