We are seeking a full-time Maintenance Coordinator to join our small, family-run hotel. This is for a live-on-site position only, with a furnished private suite/room provided. The role is open to a single individual or a couple with no children. Canidate must be able to live on site.
Job Overview
This position is responsible for maintaining the property’s physical structure and operations, ensuring a clean, safe, and functional environment for both guests and staff. Candidates must be self-starters, ready to work, and take pride in keeping the hotel running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily trash pickup (interior and exterior), including maintaining clean trash cans – 100% daily responsibility
- Light carpentry – laying flooring, installing wall trim, drywall repair, and painting – 50% of the job
- Light plumbing – including toilet ring seals, flappers, shower mixer valves – 50% of the job
- Light electrical and HVAC – changing out A/C units, cleaning units, reprogramming guest doors, battery replacement – 10% each
- Exterior maintenance – trimming bushes, weed-eating, maintaining pool area (no chemical maintenance) – 30% of the job
- Banquet room setup – tables, chairs, trash bins; breaking down setups post-events – 15% of the job
- Respond promptly to guest work orders and repair requests
- Interact professionally with guests, vendors, and staff
- On-call for emergencies as needed
Skills & Requirements:
- Knowledge of hand and power tools: drill, table saw, miter saw, circular saw, reciprocating saw, sander, etc.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and HVAC
- Physically able to walk long distances, lift 75 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must pass a drug screen and background check
- Friendly and approachable demeanor; guest-facing experience a plus
- Self-motivated, dependable, and ready to work without constant supervision
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Occasional Sundays: 2–3 hours as needed
- On-call availability required for emergency maintenance
Compensation:
