What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at The Grand & Little America Hotel, Utah?
Join us in the beautiful Laurel Bar. Full time bartending position available. Must be open to working weekends and holidays. Enjoy amazing hotel discounts from day one. This position requires previous bartending experience.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while following standard recipes to ensure established control systems are followed
- Provide exceptional service to guests by promptly welcoming and courteously serving guests
- Ensure all alcohol is removed from counters and tables prior to closing time, complete closing duties
- Comply with all liquor laws, health regulations, and company policies
- Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, including reporting accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to management
- Accountability in maintaining inventory and processing payments
- Supervise and train employees in their respective duties
- Manage the bar’s liquor and supply inventory
- Develops purchases and supply orders, checks in recently purchased bar items, arranges inventory for special events and makes supplies readily available for team
- Excellent knowledge in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the dining area for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours).
- Ability to lift and carry heavy trays, food, and beverage orders (up to 25 pounds).
- Ability to bend, squat, and reach in order to serve guests and retrieve items from shelves or storage areas.
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment with high noise levels.
- Good physical stamina and mobility to efficiently serve a high volume of customers throughout shifts.
