Part Time, Graveyard Position
We are looking for welcoming, attentive, and energetic individuals who will make that first connection with our guests. The Graveyard Bell persons familiarize our guests with the accommodations and room offerings, transports luggage to their rooms, valet parking, and anticipates any guests’ needs. This is both a fun and fast paced opportunity that allows you to make great tips and lasting relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and escort arriving and departing guests to and from their accommodations in a prompt, friendly and informative manner.
- Organize, store, retrieve and transport guest luggage with care. Assist with loading and unloading guest vehicles.
- Carefully inspect, record and drive valet vehicles to and from the designated valet parking areas.
- Respond to guest inquiries in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
- Coordinate vehicle traffic on the front drive of the hotel (guest cars, limousines, taxis, busses)
- Prepare and maintain all paperwork for accuracy (i.e. porterage, packages, valet, etc.)
- Provide accurate directions, maps, brochures, etc.
- Assist the Front Desk in delivering quick and efficient service to hotel guests.
- Uphold uniform and service standards for appearance and operational effectiveness.
- Safely operate vehicles in order to park and retrieve from the designated valet lots.
- Manage the guest self-parking areas and parking gate equipment.
- Pass along all appropriate information to the Guest Services Manager/Bell Captains and appropriately enter it into the daily log as necessary.
Qualifications:
- 1 year or equivalent in customer service industry (preferably hotel experience).
- Skilled in building relationships with guests and staff.
- Ability to multitask, work independently and maintain an energetic personality with a predisposition to smile.
- Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions (heat or cold).
- Must be able to work Graveyard Shifts on Saturday and Sunday nights (10:00PM to 6:00 AM).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Must be able to converse, understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
