What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server's Assistant position at The Grand & Little America Hotel, Utah?
Come work with us in our beautiful full service restaurant, Laurel. This is a full time AM position, with Saturday, Sunday and holiday availability required.. Full benefits including medical, dental, vision and life insurance after 60 days, as well as floating holidays and sick pay. Vacation (40 hours) available after 90 days of employment. Must be able to communicate clearly in English (read, write, speak)
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Accomplishing a set list of side work duties in a timely manner
- Responsible for adhering to all State, Federal and local laws as they pertain to the sale and service of food and beverage products
- Responsible for monitoring the actions of guests and staff ensuring proper health and safety standards are met
- Will be available to assist servers by; running food &/or drink orders, expedite food, buss, pre-buss, set & pre-set tables, fill waters, retrieve bread and openly communicate information to the table’s appropriate server
- Works cohesively with other team members and good communicator
- Maintaining specified levels of cleanliness within the outlet including trash removal, vacuuming, and cleaning tables of food
- Will be available to assist servers by; running food &/or drink orders, expedite food, buss, pre-buss, set & pre-set tables, fill waters, retrieve bread and openly communicate information to the table’s appropriate server
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the dining area for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours).
- Ability to lift and carry heavy trays, food, and beverage orders (up to 25 pounds).
- Ability to bend, squat, and reach in order to serve guests and retrieve items from shelves or storage areas.
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment with high noise levels.
- Good physical stamina and mobility to efficiently serve a high volume of customers throughout shifts.
