The Activities Assistant will work alongside the activities director to implement a stimulating activity program which encompasses physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual activities. Additionally, this role requires outgoing, friendly, and warm interaction with a wide range of people. It’s very important to connect, to quickly form relationships, and to use those relationships to create an engaging environment for all. Programs will address needs of all elderly from active to those in declining physical abilities. You must present in a professional manner, display genuine concern for elderly and act maturely in dealing with others.
Responsibilities include:
- Educating, training, and encouraging team members about opportunities to make meaningful connections.
- Meeting and greeting each person upon move-in to welcome them and their family and friends to the Community.
- Arranging for community groups to come into the Community.
- Decorating the common areas for special events and holidays.
