Housekeeping Supervisor

The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Rome is currently seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor.

Duties Include:

• Direct and manage the Housekeeping department to maintain the highest possible standards
• Develop work schedules of staff and inspect their work to make sure they are meeting the facility's cleanliness expectations
• Make sure staff complies with infection control procedures
• Supervise new employee orientation process including the explanation of departmental procedures
• Schedule and direct the housekeeping and laundry staff through training and in-service
• Supervise purchasing, storage and distribution of all housekeeping, cleaning and laundry supplies
• Maintain inventory of all facility linen in order to provide continuous supply

Qualifications:

• Must have at least 1 years of experience working as a Housekeeping Supervisor within LTC or sub-acute setting
• Good administrative, leadership, managerial, organizational, planning and interpersonal skills
• Be personable with residents, families and staff in a professional and cooperative manner
• Must have compassion, tolerance and understanding of the elderly
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations relevant to Housekeeping and Laundry
