Job Overview:
The Grand Resort is looking for responsible and detail-oriented Laundry Attendants to ensure the cleanliness and proper care of all linens and guest laundry. We have openings for both Afternoon and Midnight shifts, offering a flexible and dynamic work environment. The Laundry Attendant will be responsible for sorting, washing, drying, folding, and maintaining the quality of resort linens, towels, and guest laundry to meet the high standards of the resort.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort, load, and operate washing and drying machines to clean linens, towels, and guest laundry.
- Ensure laundry is washed, dried, folded, and stored according to the resort’s standards.
- Maintain inventory of laundry supplies (soap, fabric softener, etc.) and notify management of shortages.
- Keep laundry rooms clean and organized.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on laundry equipment and report any malfunctions to the maintenance team.
- Ensure linens and towels are properly sorted and stored for easy access by housekeeping staff.
- Inspect linens for stains or damage and take appropriate action, including flagging items for repairs or replacements.
- Follow all health, safety, and cleaning protocols when handling chemicals and operating equipment.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure linens are wrinkle-free and in excellent condition.
- Assist with special laundry requests for guests when needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in laundry or housekeeping preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to operate laundry machines and follow safety instructions.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy loads (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to work the afternoon or midnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
